Recruitment
Coordinator

Every hotel, airline and resort we work with comes to us with the same pressure — they need the right people ready by a date, and they need someone to make the whole hiring process actually move. That someone is this role. You keep briefs, candidates and interviews flowing so that a client's shortlist arrives on time and nobody good slips through the cracks.

The work

You sit in the middle of everything. A client sends over a set of roles — say, six front-office staff and a duty manager for a new resort opening — and you turn that brief into a working plan: what exactly they need, by when, at what standard, and where the candidates will come from.

From there you keep the whole search moving. You screen incoming candidates against the brief, run first conversations to check attitude and shift-readiness, and build a clean shortlist our consultants can stand behind. You schedule interviews between busy hospitality managers and candidates who are often already working shifts, and you chase the details that make or break a hire — documents, availability, the follow-up call that stops a good candidate from drifting to another offer.

The thing that makes this role matter is that hospitality hiring is unforgiving on timing. A property opens on a fixed date whether or not the floor is staffed. When you keep the pipeline honest and the shortlist on schedule, clients get their people and candidates get a fair, quick process. That is the job.

A week in the job

  • Take new client briefs and turn each one into a clear role, standard and timeline
  • Screen incoming candidates against the brief and run first-round phone or video conversations
  • Build and maintain shortlists so consultants can see the true state of every search at a glance
  • Schedule interviews across client managers and working candidates, and keep both sides informed
  • Chase the details — availability, documents, confirmations — that decide whether an offer sticks
  • Keep the tracker accurate so nothing and no one is dropped between stages

Who this suits

Someone organised and warm on the phone who likes being the person that keeps things moving. You do not need a recruitment background — people who came from hotel front office, travel operations, customer support or admin coordination often do this exceptionally well — but you do need to genuinely like talking to people and to be relentless about follow-up.

  • Clear spoken and written English; comfortable on the phone with strangers all day
  • Organised by instinct: trackers stay current, follow-ups happen, nothing is forgotten
  • Calm when a plan changes at short notice, which in hospitality is most days
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, shared documents, email and video calls
  • Any background in hospitality, travel, aviation, support or coordination is a plus; none of it is required

We are a small team, so the role grows quickly — a coordinator who runs a clean desk here moves into owning client relationships and searches of their own.
